Hi, I'm Lucy!
I am the owner and creator of Positively Simple - down to earth home & living, a holistic and personalised service that you have probably never seen before! And this only makes it extra special!
I was born in São Paulo, Brazil and I come from a very mixed-origin family, from English to Italian, French, Portuguese and even German, I feel like anywhere could be home. My family and I settled in London in 2019 and then we moved to Southampton during the pandemic in July 2020.
You will see that my essence is to constantly seek further training, education and personal development - I don't think I'll ever stop learning! If feels to me that the more I learn, the more I am able to support others, in any way I possibly can!
In 2004 I started my career in Education - not knowing this would last for so many years! I worked full-time at some of the most reputable British, American and Canadian international and bilingual schools in São Paulo (Brazil), helping children and families to grow with understanding, cooperation and love. It makes me so proud to see that these schools are so reputable and respected and that I was part of their team. Everything I learned at each one of these schools has made me who I am. And now I can say I am able share all my knowledge and expertise with fellow educators, parents and caregivers. The standards were some of the highest as you can imagine and that is why excellence is part of my ethos.

Montessori Parenting Consultant and co-creator of Aim Parenting, part of Aim - Authentic Institute of Montessori, a Montessori teacher training centre based in Montana, US that offers trainings and services globally. Aim is a pioneer of online Montessori training—one of the first centres to present the idea to MACTE over a decade ago. Aim has already translated the certification course to: Spanish, Swedish, Vietnamese and they are soon going to translate it to Brazilian Portuguese (okay, maybe I had something to do with that...!).

I also worked at Montessori nurseries in London and Southampton. Small, local schools that were completely different from my previous experience in Brazil - needless to say I learned so much from them as well!
A big part of my routine as a teacher was focused on purposefully preparing the environment in order to promote learning, healthy social interactions and life skills development - did you see how the Montessori triad works?
And this is exactly what I replicate in the home setting, ensuring the home is a prepared environment that encourages and empowers everyone in the household to become the best version of themselves.

When I retired myself from teaching, here in the UK back in 2020, I worked in many different industries, usually in leadership roles as a team leader and supervisor - working at Madame Tussaud's London was one of my most fun experiences outside of school grounds! Ironically, I was still playing the "educator's" role in all of these positions!
And even though I was no longer teaching, my passion for education and early childhood kept growing stronger and stronger. But I knew I didn't want to be in the school setting any longer. I wanted to create something different, something that would be much more meaningful and that would bring a true purpose to my life.
And that's how Positively Simple was born in 2022!

Being able to help people re-love their homes, simplify their routine and regain time to live meaningful experiences is what makes my work so rewarding!
And since the end of 2024 I have been dividing my time between running my own business and developing content, courses and workshops for Aim Parenting alongside Amanda! I must say, this has been truly an amazing experience and I continue learning every single day.
